Time for a new update on things around Mullet River Model Works. First let me say that I will be at the Chicago March Meet O Scale show March 16th-18th in Lombard, Illinois. I recommend these O Scale shows to everyone. There is a lot of O Scale out there that is not on hobby store shelves. These shows are a chance to meet the people behind the scenes and to commiserate with fellow modelers from around the world. In O Scale I will have the Missouri Pacific caboose done by the March Meet. My next O Scale Freight car will be a Northern Pacific 40’ truss rod box car. I may be able to have some at the March Meet but if not then very soon after. The patterns will be done by February 1st and I will get production going on them. The roof clips for the Enterprise roof may hold this project up a little. I am trying to do the rib and clip in one part and they are very delicate. I will know very soon if it can be done. If so the scale size of them should really set off the roof on this car. The Southern caboose came out well and I have added a side door version of this car as a separate kit. See the O Scale caboose pages.
In HO Scale I have the patters done for the Big Four caboose bolster and needle beam. All that remains is the center sills. Then this long promised car will be in production.
Lastly I will be redoing the Customer Showcase Galleries. I am going to separate the models by O Scale and HO Scale. Then I will separate the O Scale caboose models from the buildings and the freight cars.
